Your home office should be more than just an ordinary workspace. It should be an area with an atmosphere that promotes productivity while still showing off a little bit of your personality. But for a lot of people, rooms that were supposed to be dedicated home offices are often used as places for clutter instead.
Instead of letting the same happen to you, take a little extra time now to get organized. Start by throwing out the paperwork, office supplies and furniture that you don’t need. If you still have hard copies of all of your records, consider digitizing them by scanning and saving them on your computer.
Once you’ve gotten rid of what you don’t need, it’ll be a lot easier to come up with a game plan for organizing the rest. Be sure to maximize your vertical storage with bookcases, cabinets, chests or even hutches, depending on how much you have to display and put away.
